Hatha Yoga

Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an ancient system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a subset of hatha yoga that is distinguished by its fluid transitions and movement through a series of carefully planned poses. The literal translation of vinyasa is “to place in a special way.”

The purpose of vinyasa yoga is to use the breath to align the body and mind. You’ll develop a stronger mind-body connection and grow in strength and flexibility.
